Notices for this week beginning SUNDAY 10th DECEMBER 2017

2ND SUNDAY OF ADVENT

 

Monday to Thursday:      9 to 9.20 am:  Morning Prayer in the church

Monday:                           10-11.45 am Totstop in the Church Hall

Wednesday:                        7.30 pm - Standing Committee in Emmaus Room

 

The daytime fellowship group will take place on Tuesdays starting in the new year. More information from Ruth or Gill. 

Thank you to everyone who helped decorating the church for Christmas yesterday.

Help needed on Wednesday 13th December when Mile Cross Primary School have their Christmas service in the church.  Sign up sheet on the round table.

Help needed on Sunday 24th December with the Christingle Service.  Sign up sheet on the round table.

A Magazine Distributor is needed in the new year for about 10 homes in the Half Mile Road and Glenmore Gardens area.  For more information please speak to Annette, Sue or Joyce.

If you have a ‘Loose Change’ box please bring it to church for emptying.  This will become part of our St Catherine’s-tide giving. 

The PCC decided to support the Alternative Christmas Card again this year, when the proceeds will be given to Hope into Action.  The ‘card’ is available today.

We will be making Christingles on Saturday 23rd December - help needed with this, please!

On Saturday 16th December at 7.30 pm at Chapelfield Methodist Church the Norwich Singers are holding their Carol Concert.  Tickets £8, includes finger buffet.

Please save your used postage stamps for OXFAM.

3RD SUNDAY OF ADVENT

 

Monday to Thursday:      9 to 9.30 am:  Morning Prayer in the church

Monday:           10-11.45 am Totstop Christmas Party in the Church Hall

Saturday:                     Making Christingles in church

 

The Church Carol Service is at 7 pm this evening, followed by refreshments in the church. 

Please take a flier containing details of our Christmas services to give to a neighbour or friend inviting them to join us.

If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a Christmas Meal, the café in Revelation have a Christmas Festive Menu from 2th to 22nd December  (excluding Sundays), 2 or 3 courses.

Development/ Restoration Fund:

FUND RAISING EVENTS

Over the next few years we have to raise a lot of money, principally for major re-wiring of the church (without which it may be the church will have to close for insurance purposes).
There  are also roof works and other possibilities for improving our current facilities, in the pipeline.

The next fundraising event for this is...............................
