Monday:          NO ‘Messy Church in the Church Hall this week

Monday to Thursday: NO Morning Prayer in the church

Our services at St Catherine’s are video recorded, and later uploaded to our YouTube channel. This enables people who are unable to get to the service to watch it at a convenient time. We make every effort to make sure that people faces are not visible.

The new Traidcraft catalogue is available on the round table. If you wish to place an order please speak to Joyce or Ivan. There is also a sign up sheet on the round table if you would like to order an advent Calendar which contains a book telling the Christmas story.

Can you help with the ‘Remembering Loved Ones’ service at 3 pm on Sunday 11th November? Sign up sheet on the round table.

Offers of help needed for St Catherine’s-tide Coffee Morning and Beetle Drive on Saturday 17th November. If you are able to provide a cake for the cake stall this would be much appreciated. Sign up sheet on the round table.

Can you please speak to a PCC member if there is a Christian organisation you would like to benefit from the 2018 St Catherine’s tithe. The decision on who will benefit will be made at the November PCC meeting.

Laurie is organising another visit to Bury Christmas Market on Friday 23rd November. Cost £15 per seat. For information please speak to Laurie.

Help needed on Thursday 11th October when Mile Cross Primary School celebrate Harvest in the church. Sign up sheet on the round table.

Harvest Festival will be on Sunday 14th October. We need someone to co-ordinate the meal after the service please - jacket potatoes and fillings. Help needed to decorate the church please from 9 am on Saturday 6th and 13th, men as well as ladies!

Please take a copy of the latest Diocesan Magazine, on the round table.

There are leaflets on the round table for the Link to Hope Shoebox project together with some shoeboxes. Now is a good time to start collecting small items for the Family or Elderly Persons boxes.

Development/ Restoration Fund:

Over the next few years we have to raise a lot of money, principally for major  re-wiring of the church. There  are also roof works and other possibilities for improving our current facilities, in the pipeline.

For your information the Development Group are:

Cathy D’Oyley, Martin and Rach Hartley, Ruth Lambert and Joyce Lincoln.

Blooming marvellous

Bringing some Spring colour to Mile Cross!
Saturday 20th October 2018
10am to 1pm
A great opportunity to make a difference to Mile Cross by planting Spring bulbs. Meet at The King’s Venue, The Norman Centre.

Drinks, cake, craft, and a chance to pot a bulb to take home as a thank you to those who help - just turn up!

A few of us from St Catherine's managed to get away together for the day at the Horstead center. A lovely day of fellowship as we reflected back over the last 12 months at St Catherine's and talked and prayed about opportunities for the next 12 months. Click here to see some photos.
