The care and protection of children, young people and adults involved in Church activities is the responsibility of everyone who participates in the life of the Church.

Safely recruiting and supporting those with responsibility related to children, young people and adults at risk, whether paid or voluntary.

Responding promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation.

Caring pastorally for those subjected to abuse, or others affected by it.

Caring pastorally for those against whom concerns or allegations are raised, or others affected by such.

Responding to those that may pose a present risk.

Appointing Safeguarding Officers, and ensuring all workers complete self-declaration forms, DBS clearance and training at least every 3 years.

Following the guidelines and procedures published by the Church of England in 2017, reference copies of which are kept in the church office.
